Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) eyed in Guiuan’s partnership with DSWD

Guiuan, Eastern Samar – Guiuan Field Office scheduled a meeting with 2 municipal links on DSWD 4Ps and 1 provincial development officer for Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) last March. The meeting was a preliminary arrangement for future plans to enter a partnership with DSWD. Upon discussion, GNIP is set to draft and secure a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for its specific plans and proposals. Guiuan Field Manager Daniel Casanes notes that the partnership aims to avoid duplication of programs as implemented by GNIP and DSWD; the partnership is seen to produce more effective and efficient development projects especially for GNIP-supported communities in Guiuan.
